IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is meant to be a "free and easy" adventure trip. Participants should be relatively fit, with a good sense of humor, and above all, have the right attitude for close travel with others through possibly some trying times. Most definitely, this is not a trip for prudes, whiners, fuss-pots, and other similarly assorted types! We had a couple of those before and it wasn't pleasant for us or them. Although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption and/or deviation from the norm. Otherwise, have fun!

It is estimated that there are some 6000 Komodos still roaming wild on Komodo Islands, just off Nusa Tenggara. We will surely see some, AND we will also ensure you experience the Komodo Island at its other best ... the deep blue surrounding sea on a 3D2N live-aboard voyage, spectacular sights at Padar Island, and even the simple pleasures of a short but intereting drive through lesser visited Nusa Tenggara Barat.

DAY 1 Meet KLIA. Meet KLIA by 6:30AM for AA flight departing 9:00AM 28APR24 to Labuan Bajo landing 4:55PM, with a 2hr transit in Denpasar Bali. Chill at Denpasar airport with lunch and maybe shopping at a nice local brand outdoor stuff outlet at the domestic terminal. Booking on direct basis and on Guaranteed Connection Basis. On arrival Labuan Bajo. It is a short 10min van ride to hotel, and just in time for happy hours maybe in town. Dinner at local eatery. Overnight Labuan Bajo (D).

DAY 2 LABUAN BAJO-RUTENG. Hinterland drive through west Nusa Tenggara Timor. Lesser visited with simple charms still abounding in its people and places. It will be a slow drive with spontaneous stops enroute to catch a cuppa of coffee served with priceless smiles, and we will get to Todo Village by late morning to experience a culture and history stop. On the way to Ruteng, we make an interesting visit to the unique Spider-Web rice fields. Overnight Ruteng Hotel (B/L/D)

DAY 3 LIANG BUA CAVES-LABUAN BAJO. We drive small mountain roads with scenic views of the countryside dotted with cinnamon, coffee, and cocoa plantings until we reach Liang Bua Cave, where ‘Homo floresiensis’ was discovered. The remains of these ‘small people’ date back 12,000 to 95,000 years old! In the afternoon, we make a slow drive back to Labuan Bajoto arrive for a nice sunset at Love Hills, just on the outskirts of Labuan Bajo. Overnight Labuan Bajo Hotel (B/L)

DAY 4 KELOR HIKING-RINCA KOMODO-KALONG BATS. Morning last minute supplementary shopping of snacks, drinks etc before we board our boat to head for Kelor Island. We do a short uphill hike to take in splendid views, and then cool off with snorkeling at Menjerite Island. Next stop is Komodo viewing at Rinca Island, but look out for the wild boar, Timor deer etc as well. Evening will be sunset chills at Kalong while catching sight of hundreds of fruit bats in the sky above us. Overnight Boat (B/L/D)

DAY 5 PADAR SUNRISE-PINK BEACH-TAKA MAKASSAR It will be an early morning hike up the hills of Padar Island to take in an inspiring sunrise, watching the island change color as the sun slowly rises. We sail to Pink Beach to enjoy some sand and sea fun before heading for the famed Komodo Island to try catch sight of the ‘dragons’ without the latter catching us! Last sea stop will be at Manta Point to try view more giants, and then snorkel a truly spectacular spot at Taka Makassar. Wrap up the day with serene glowing sunsets of Kannawa Island. DAY 6 KANAWA-RANGKO CAVE. Kannawa relaxing and Rangko Cave floating experience. After two full active days, today we have a free morning for more snorkeling, visiting local fishing village, fishing or just enjoy doing nothing. After lunch we sail to Rangko Cave to arrive around 3pm to catch the cave at its best blue glow. The water in the cave is still saltish and one will find it easy to float!

DAY 7 LABUAN BAJO-DENPASAR.After breakfast, we catch the following flight LBJ(0900) – Denpasar(1015). Airport transfer to our hotel in Kuta. Hotel is in the heart of Kuta. Free and easy to explore this vibrant area on your own. Overnight Kuta (B)

DAY 8 DENPASAR-KUL. Free and easy relaxing morning and last minute shopping in Kuta. airport transfer to catch flight home at 1425 DPS - KUL 1735 with all the beautiful memories from the magical East Nusa Tenggara!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Cost cover twin sharing accommodation, MEALS (B L D) as indicated, local tour guide and ground travel via chartered transportation, Komodo entry permit and conservation fee and airport transfers.

2. Accommodation on land will be in local guesthouses and budget hotels. Boat stay will be on semi phinisi basis. The room arrangement is on first come first serve basis. Double bed is prioritized for couple

3. NOT COVERED are airfare, meals not indicated above and optional activities and shopping.
